This is definitely not me in the morning but I try!

Last week I decided to start waking up earlier so that I could better utilize the fact that I am at my most productive and focused first thing in the morning (by 4pm I’m completely useless). I have to admit, it has been much easier to do than the attempts I’ve made in the past. When my alarm hits, I’m up and out of bed. No snooze or anything! When I sat and asked myself what the difference was between this time and all the other times I tried to get up earlier but failed, I realized that it was simply that I made the decision. I decided to get up earlier so that I could better achieve the goals I have for myself so when the alarm goes off and I’m tempted to snooze, the first thing that has popped into my head has been why I’m getting up and what it’s going to do for me. The desire for me to work on achieving my goals far outweigh the desire to hit the snooze button. The other factor is that I don’t allow myself to even consider the snooze button. When the alarm goes off, I turn the alarm off and immediately get out of bed. When you’re out of bed and in the bathroom, chances are you won’t go back to bed! Now I’m getting more stuff done than I have in a long while and am feeling amazing! So for all of you out there who are having difficulties waking up earlier to get your workout in or do something else for yourself, try those tips and let me know how they work!
