I’ve been a fan of superstar fitness trainer, Jillian Michaels for a few years now. Hers were the first workout DVDs I bought when I decided that I should probably do more than just running if I wanted to get fit and I’ll always remember that first workout: I could barely finish and I cried at the end! She’s a tough trainer but I always, always, ALWAYS feel it the next day! So when I heard that she was jumping on the 90 day program bandwagon I immediately knew that I would use it as my next fitness goal!

Body Revolution, as I said, is a 90 day program that boasts users will get into “the best shape of your life” by consistently adding tougher workouts as the weeks go by. She uses her famous circuit training technique so that you are toning your body AND burning calories at the same time which dramatically decreases the amount of time you need to spend working out.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to do a “live” review of the program for your pleasure! For the next 90 days I will be following her workouts to a T which means four days of her circuit training workouts and 2 days of her high intensity cardio workouts. Each month I will post my current results (complete with “before and after” photos) and let you know how I find the workouts. So far I’ve done the first three workouts, day 1 strengthens the front of the body, day 2 strengthens the back of the body and day 3 is a “break” where no strength training is done but instead we do a high intensity cardio workout.

What I like so far is how short these workouts are. Every workout is less than 40 minutes and for all the workouts I’ve done so far I’ve actually been shocked when she said we were done. That being said, my quads and butt are no less sore than an hour long workout! Holy cow!
