Okay, it’s T-minus TWO FREAKING MONTHS until my wedding and things are starting to get real, yo! Seriously, I actually woke up at about 5am this morning and my mind started churning about all the stuff I still need to do. I think I’ve been a pretty laid back bride thus far and I’m doing my best to stay cool but I’m starting to crack just a wee bit. There’s so much involved and although I’m a pretty organized person, it’s a TON of work! We’re having a pretty small wedding (less than a hundred people) and I have no bloody clue how all you people who had weddings with 150+ have dealt with it! Hats off to you, my friends!

With that said, it’s time to get some more work done because I have to call the menswear company for the second time in a week because we have some fine lookin’ gentlemen who still need to get measured for their suits! Ack!

Cool (Mostly Health Related) Stuff I Found This Week

Fitness

Ohhh! This is a great slideshow for the 7 most effective exercises. I like it because it also shows you what bad form looks like because if you’re working out with bad form not only will your workout become ineffective but you could also injure yourself!

Holy God, you can just thank me now for stumbling across these self-massage videos for athletes! I cannot tell you how sore I’ve been since starting Body Revolution and could use these! Hallelujah!

Starting a strength training routine? Awesome! It took me a long time to get into it but now that I have, there’s no going back baby! I want to give you all a gun show – FREE OF CHARGE! Here’s a great breakdown about how to get stronger that will help you to understand strength training and how to do it!

Yay! Even MORE free fitness videos! Seriously, working out should never have an excuse attached to it anymore seeing as the internet makes it so damned easy!

Recipes/Nutrition

Have a sugar craving? I highly recommend these apple nachos! It’s ridiculously yummy AND contains 99% healthy ingredients! I have a feeling that if you don’t tell your kids that they’re healthy, they’ll devour it!

Speaking of sugar, I love this infographic! It’s all about “healthy” foods that contain hidden sugar and you’d be surprised at just how much sugar is in your food! Always read labels!

It’s no secret that I’m not a huge fan of brussel sprouts but I’m marrying a man for whom brussel sprouts are one of his favourite vegetables. Because of this I do get them from time to time but I’m always trying to find a way to make them more… um… palatable. So what did I find this week but roasted brussel sprouts with cranberry pistachio pesto! This even sounds good to ME!

Dude! At your next BBQ you NEED to make these grilled turkey burgers with feta! Doesn’t it just sound delish?!

General Health

Healthy habits don’t have to be difficult to implement, just pick one or two at a time, make them a habit and move on to the next one! Here are a whopping 101 healthy habits that anyone can follow!

One of the easiest ways to lose weight is to cut out something from each meal. If you can cut even 100 calories out of each meal that equals to 2,100 per week! That’s over half a pound! To help you out, here are 100 ways to cut 100 calories.

For The Casa

Yes, yes I am showing you a chicken coop. It seriously makes me want to have one in our backyard, I mean, we have the room and if we fence it all off the little chickies can roam around all happy like and we’d have fresh, organic eggs every day! Perfect wedding gift? I think so!

This one is dedicated to my comic book loving husband-to-be: comic book farming! Of course, this will only work with the huge Japanese comic books but this is too neat not too post!

Is it just me or is this idea to sprout a couch really cool? Although, trimming it would be a bitch, what sort of weed-wacker could you use for it I wonder…

Smart Stuff

I like this article a lot. We, as humans, tend to think we’re a lot more rational and evolved than we really are and this article blows the top on that notion, it’s the ten politically incorrect truths about human nature.

How To Be Your Awesome Self

So many people want a handbook for life because, quite frankly, it’s not always a walk in the park. This may not be your handbook but it is a powerful article about the 7 rules for a life worth living. I love every one of these!
