Coming up on the last few months of 2012(!!!) my mind is starting to turn to, not the holidays, but on my workouts. As you know, I schedule my workouts religiously and usually know what my workouts are months in advance (I think this stems from when I was training for road races more). I’m 1.5 weeks from finishing up my current workout program and so now I need to figure out what I’m going to do when I’m all done. First thing is to take a few weeks off due to the wedding and my honeymoon. Now taking time “off” does not mean I won’t work out at all, it just means I won’t be training or doing any sort of program but I will schedule in whatever it is that I’m going to do (most likely a mix of running and DVDs). Once we’re back from the honeymoon, it’s go time, baby! Time to finish this year off with a bang so I can lean out and gain some muscle!

If you have yet to schedule your workouts in advance, get on it! It completely takes the guesswork out of your exercise and you’re more likely to get it done if you write it down (true story)!

Recipes/Nutrition

I was never much of a cook until I took my health into my own hands so if you’re a novice cook and get confused over temperatures, imperial vs. metric, what the heck a cut of beef is or more, here’s an incredibly handy kitchen cheat sheet info graphic that you may want to cut out and put on the fridge!

General Health

One of my big secrets to lasting health is education: you need to understand what you’re eating, why you exercise the way you do and the impact it has on your body for you to stick with it. Sadly, food advertising has made this confusing for everyone. Here are 15 biggest nutrition myths you will want to consider the next time you hit up the grocery store.

How To Be Your Awesome Self

Many times, our issues with healthy living have little to do with willpower and more to do with self-discipline. If this is the case, here’s a cool article about how to build self-discipline.

Asking for help isn’t easy for most women, I know I actually forget until it’s too late but it’s also essential to do if we don’t want to go crazy. Whether it be at work or within your family, here’s why you should ask for help more often (and how to do just that).

Cute S**t

Okay, here’s your cuteness for the day, it’s the 50 cutest things that ever happened (okay, this is arguable but it does the trick).

For The Casa

So the good (and bad) thing about weight loss is that you’ll end up having to do a major closet overhaul as you toss out the clothes you’ll never be able to wear again and actually invest in a wardrobe. I say it’s a bad thing because of the “investment” part, it’s not cheap! But this is a great opportunity to reorganize your closet and get a plan ready for the massive amounts of awesome clothes you’ll be wearing. To get you started, check out these inspirational closets and start making your plan!
