A good friend of mine went in for gum grafting surgery last week and is on a strict liquid diet for a week or so. She sent me a text shortly after her surgery with: “Oooh and FYI – Shakeology bowls are the bomb!”

Well I don’t know what gum grafting surgery is (it sounds grody) but I liked the sound of a Shakeology bowl so I set out the next morning to make one!
This is based on the super trendy Açai Bowl of 2014 which is basically a super thick smoothie thrown into a bowl with toppings for crunch. It’s an incredibly great way of getting in a TON of antioxidants and makes for a super yummy breakfast.
But I’m all about getting the most bang for my buck not just in spending money but also in my meals. Açai bowls are great but why not get in all of your antioxidants, protein, phytonutrients, probiotics, vitamins & minerals AND digestive enzymes all at once?
Bring in the Shakeology bowl!
Make it as thick or thin as you like, this bowl is going to give you EVERYTHING you need for your body to run at its most optimal AND it tastes frreakin’ delicious!
Chocolate Shakeology Breakfast Bowl
  •  1 scoop Chocolate/Vegan Chocolate Shakeology
  •  1 scoop high quality protein powder (optional – just adds an extra protein oomph)
  •  1/4 cup frozen berries
  •  1 cup ice
  • 1 cup water
Blend in a blender for as long as you please (longer for a thinner bowl, shorter for thick and chunky)
Top with toppings (I added some unsweetened shredded coconut, diced strawberries, banana and slivered almonds)!

    Do you ever mix the Shakeology with pumpkin? I tried that and it came out like a mousse. very light and fluffy. Not good for drinking, but you could enjoy it with a spoon.
