I can tell you from personal experience that I only WISH I had joined a group when I first started on my weight loss journey because the five years it took me to lose 100 pounds were HARD! I won’t sugarcoat it, going it alone was really difficult. I didn’t have anyone to talk to when I felt like bingeing after a stressful day. I didn’t have anyone to congratulate me after a particular hard workout. I didn’t have anyone to remind me of my motivation when I didn’t feel like I was seeing progress and I didn’t have anyone to celebrate with when I hit particular milestones. Now that I’ve been running group challenge groups for over a year and participating in them myself, I can say with all honesty that being in a group makes something as hard as losing weight so much more fun because you have help, support, encouragement and the accountability of your challenge members to help you keep going and GET RESULTS. You have not just your coach but a BUNCH of other people there to help you through the bad times, push you when you’re slacking, celebrate your successes and help you to become the best possible you. There’s really nothing else out there like it!

I have to admit that if it weren’t for hosting a challenge group, I’m not sure I would have gotten through Insanity during the winter of 2012. It was seriously the hardest workout I’d ever done and wanted to give up often. But because I was running a challenge group and actually participating in it myself, the support and encouragement of my challenge members and the accountability of reporting in daily got me through the program and I can now say that I am an Insanity Graduate! Not many people can say that!
